Current Planning has the responsibility for reviewing all residential and non-residential development projects within the City and ensuring that the projects comply with the City of Pleasant Hill General Plan and Zoning Ordinance requirements. Current Planning also ensures that all projects comply with the Califiornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

In addition, Current Planning staff works with the Planning Commission and Architectural Review Commission that reviews land use entitlement requests and reviews and approves design and development project proposals.
