CERT Application
The Pleasant Hill Police Department, in conjunction with the County Office of Emergency Services and the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, is sponsoring emergency preparedness classes for residents of Pleasant Hill.

Emergency planning experts predict that residents may be without utilities and basic community emergency services for a week following a major earthquake. CERT training promotes a partnering effort between emergency services and the people they serve. The goal is to train members of neighborhoods and community organizations in basic emergency skills to become better prepared and to assist their families and neighbors following a disaster.

CERT - Citizen Corps
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
