Public Information
The City's Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for providing information to city residents, businesses and others regarding programs, projects and the activities of the City of Pleasant Hill. The PIO reports directly to the City Manager and oversees the following programs:

  • City Website - management of the City website including content and design.
  • Outlook Newsletter - the official newsletter of the City, which is produced bi-monthly.
  • The City Channel - a public information TV channel, broadcast on Comcast Channel 28, Astound Channel 29 and UVerse Channel 99.
  • City Facebook Page - covers city events, programs, news announcements and other informational items of interest to the general public.
  • Solid Waste & Recycling - the City has an exclusive agreement with Republic Services for residential & commercial hauling of all solid waste and recycling materials. The PIO is the staff contact for this service, handles customer issues and promotes recycling programs citywide.
  • Special Events - the PIO assists with certain special events including Community Service Day, Summer Concerts at City Hall and Light up the Night Holiday Festival.
  • City Commissions - the PIO acts as staff liaison to the Civic Action Commission and the Education / Schools Advisory Commission.
