PH Instructional Garden
Pleasant Hill Instructional Garden - Various Planting and Landscaping tasks
2013 Instructional Garden.jpg

Description of Project
PHIG relies on volunteers to develop and maintain the garden. There are neither paid employees nor school support beyond the site itself. Learning by doing is how the garden was created and how it flourishes. Help us prepare this water conservation demonstration garden to look its best for upcoming programs and Earth Day events. Maintenance tasks may include: composting, mulching, pruning, chipping, weeding, deadheading, and painting. Please wear hat, gloves, casual to grubby clothes and closed-toe shoes and bring drinking water and gardening tools you may have with you to the garden. We need a few project leaders with some experience but also have some tasks for everyone to do, large or small, while enjoying being in the garden. Contact us as soon as possible so we can better plan those projects and to know best how you would like to help.
