Overview
This division is the second largest division in the department and it operates 24 hours a day. It is staffed by one lieutenant, a civilian Support Services Manager, and 18 civilian employees. The civilian employees include dispatcher teams, community service officers, and a computer technician.

They have the responsibility of answering 9-1-1 calls and they see that these calls are immediately dispatched to a police unit or transferred to an appropriate agency, such as the Fire Department.

The dispatch center has direct communication with the police officers in the field by use of the radio system and the in-car computer system called the Mobile Data System (MDS).
