Description of Project The Pleasant Hill Instructional Garden is celebrating 10 years as a water conservation demonstration sustainable garden, which is also a NWF wildlife habitat, opposite the Pleasant Hill Middle School. Along with garden work parties, Earth Day and other events, it provides composting classes and hands-on activities. Volunteers help the garden flourish.
While we continually need garden maintenance, we have 2 special projects this year. We are looking for volunteers who can help us work on building the arbor for weather protection over the composting system and to help us place a new sign in the revised entry to the garden. While construction skills are not necessary, it is helpful if you do have a hammer, screwdriver, or other tools you could bring with you. Email us for more details and help us organize ahead of time.
