Do you have an interest in local government and how it functions? Do you want to know more about the City of Pleasant Hill? Be part of the Pleasant Hill Citizens Academy,and learn what makes our city special!
Participants will learn about the various roles and responsibilities of each City Department; City Council decision making and the legislative process at the local level; opportunities to volunteer with City Commissions and Committees; and the how the budget process works.
Sessions will be held Thursdays from 6-8:30 p.m., plus one Saturday morning bus tour
Tour of the city on Saturday, October 12, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Participants who complete at least five sessions will be recognized at the Oct. 21 City Council meeting.
